Our first ever book signing with Colm Keane on Friday 16th October was very successful. Colm came in just before 1 o'clock and there were already a couple of people waiting. The shop was full of people for the next hour with people chatting to Colm and each other and also picking up copies of Colm's book, Going Home - Irish stories from the edge of death. Several people couldn't make the time but asked us to get copies signed and put away for them. It was a good experience and one that we hope to repeat often, not least with Francesca Brown in November 13th and Aidan Storey on December 2nd.

Looking ahead, both Janet and Stephen hope to be in the Boghill Centre in Co. Clare next November 7th for an evening of music and meditation with Lucinda Drayton. Lucinda is the lead singer with Bliss who have released several popular CDs. The music is wonderful and it is on constant repeat in the shop at present. With the music in such a beautiful setting as the Burren we are hopeful of a very enjoyable night. We are also trying to organise a bus for the evening so please contact us if you would like to let somebody else do the driving for the evening.

We are now in the run up to Christmas and many customers have been in either browsing with Christmas presents in mind or putting deposits on items that they will pick up closer to the big day. We have started to put out some 2010 calendars and diaries including the ever popular Mind Body Spirit Diaries which we always sell out of. Our main Christmas stock will be on display from early next month so come in and choose early as we tend to sell out of the popular items very fast.
